Gospel of John: Chapter 04 - Original Version                    About Chapter 04
Title Given Chapter 04: The Nature of True Worship & True Work - True Worship of
God is to worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth. For the Father is a Spirit, and
seeketh such to worship Him, and True Work or Duty to God is to "do His will", and to
"finish His work", before we die to the flesh, physically die to the "outside" of us
Brief Summary of Chapter 04:  Verses 21 - 24: Jesus saith unto her, Woman,
believe Me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at
Jeruselam, worship the Father. (For) Ye worship ye know not what: We know what We
worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true
worshipper shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth: for the Father seeketh such
to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit
and in Truth (not in flesh alone, not from the "outside" alone). Verses 34 - 38: Jesus
said unto them, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent Me, and to finish His work.
Say not ye, There are four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you,
Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he
that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that
soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true.  One
soweth, and another reapeth. I send you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour:
other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

Original Version - of chapter 04

1.  When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and
          baptized more disciples then John,
2.  (Though Jesus Himself baptized not, but His disciples).
3.  He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
4.  And He must needs go through Samaria.
5.  Then cometh He to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of
ground that Jocob gave to his son Joseph.
6.  Now Jacob's well was there.  Jesus therefore, being wearied with His journey, sat
thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
7.  Then cameth a women of Sameria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give Me to
          drink.
8.  (For His disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat)
9.  Then saith the woman of Samaria unto Him, How is it that thou, being a Jew,
askest drink of me, which am a Samaria?  For Jews have no dealings with the
          Samaritans.
10.  Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God (for your age),
and who it is that saith to thee, Give Me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of
Him, and He would have given thee living waters.
11.  The woman said unto Him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is
deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12.  Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof
himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13.  Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall never
          thirst again.
14.  But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the
water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into
          everlasting life.
15.  The woman saith unto Him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come
          hither to draw.
16.  Jesus saith unto her, God, call thy husband, and come hither.
17.  The woman answered and said, I have no husband.  Jesus said unto her, Thou
hast well said, I have no husband.
18.  For thou hast had five husbands; and the whom thou now hast is not thy husband:
          in that saidst thou truly.
19.  The woman saith unto Him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a Prophet.
20.  Our fathers worshipped in the mountains; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the
place where men ought to worship.
21.  Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe Me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither
in this mountain, nor yet at Jeruselam, worship the Father.
22.  Ye worship ye know not what: We know what We worship: for salvation is of the
          Jews.
23.  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipper shall worship the
Father in Spirit and in Truth: for the Fatherr seeketh such to worship Him.
24.  God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
25.  The woman saith unto Him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ:
when He come, He will tell us all things.
26.  Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am He.
27.  And upon this came His disciples, and marvelled that He talked with the woman:
yet no man said, What seekest thou? Or, Why talkest thou with her?
28.  The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the
          men,
29.  Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
30.  Then they went out of the city, and came unto Him.
31.  In the mean while His disciples prayed Him, saying, Master, eat.
32.  But He said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
33.  Therefore said the disciple one to another, Hath any man brought Him ought to
          eat?
34.  Jesus said unto them, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent Me, and to finish
          His work.
35.  Say not ye, There are four months, and then cometh harvest?  Behold, I say unto
you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to
          harvest.
36.  And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both
he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
37.  And herein is that saying true.  One soweth, and another reapeth.
38.  I send you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and
ye are entered into their labours.
39. And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on Him for the saying of the
women, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
40.  So when the Samaritans were come unto Him, they besought Him that He would
tarry with them: and He abode there two days.
41.  And many more believed because of His word.
42.  And said unto the women, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have
heard Him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the
          world.
43.  Now after two days (in Samaria) He departed thence, and went into Galilee.
44.  For Jesus Himself testified, that a Prophet hath no honour in His own country.
45.  Then when He was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received Him, having seen
all the things that He did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they were also went unto
          the feast.
46.  So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where He made the water wine (that
is, make the impure water into pure water, as "wine" is the word at the time of
Jesus for pure water, not for fermented grapes).  And there was a certain
nobelman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47.  When He heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto
Him, and besought Him that He would come down, and heal his son: for he was
          at the point of death.
48. Then said Jesus unto Him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
49.  The nobelman saith unto Him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
50.  Jesus saith unto him, God thy way; they son liveth.  And the man believed in the
word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.
51.  And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, Thy son
          liveth.
52.  Then inquired him of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto
him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
53.  So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto
him, Thy son liveth: and himself believeth, and his whole house.
54.  This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when He was come out of Judaea
          into Galilee.

1.  What Does It Mean, The "Well of Water" - "Springing up into Everlasting Life" within us, that Jesus (peace be upon Him) tells us (Verse 14) will result from the "water that I shall give", if you will only truly accept it, if you will only let you life now become Spirit, rather than flesh, before you die to the flesh?

The "Well of Water Springing up into Everlasting Life" within us, is what will naturally happen to each of us, if we will only truly accept the grace, the wisdom, and the 'ilm or divine knowledge of God for our age, if we will only truly realize, understand, accept, and join as "One with" the "Gift of God" for our age, which is the life and teaching of God for our age, which in our age, is the life and teaching of our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), and of
His Children
(may God be pleased with each of Us).

Which for our age is now the "water that I shall give", that Jesus (peace be upon Him) is telling us about in Verse 14, if we will only truly accept it, if we will only truly learn to use it, to let our life now become Spirit and Truth, rather than flesh, before we die to the flesh?

2.  What Does It Mean, "The Hour Cometh" - "when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father (as flesh)", as Jesus (peace be upon Him) tells us (Verse 21), and "For salvation is of the Jews", of those who accept and worship God, as He is, as Spirit, by becoming Spirit, by becoming "One with" Him, as He is, not as we may want Him to be, as flesh, not by trying to bring Him down to flesh, to form, like a mountain, like the mountains of Jacob, or to a temple, like in Jerusalem, like the Temple of the Jews

That "The Hour Cometh" when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father" just as flesh, just as a reflection of your physical life on the "outside" of you, and that hour started, that requirement for worship started, with Jesus (peace be upon Him), over 2000 years ago, and has become now come to maturity in our age, because now we can understand and accept this requirement for "worship of God", now we can truly start to worship God in this way, with each of us, if we like, joining in partnership with God within us, to transcend the flesh and truly become the Spirit, in this way, beginning to worship God as Spirit and Truth, as Spirit worshipping Spirit, and as Truth worshipping Truth.

"For salvation is of the Jews", is of those who truly accept and begin to worship God, as He is, as Spirit and Truth, by themselves becoming Spirit and Truth, by themselves joining as "One with" God within them, with the reality of themselves, and in this way using God within us to get to God within us, no longer trying to use what "God has discarded" to get to God, which is the flesh, by joining in partnership with God within us, to give up the flesh, by becoming "One with" Him within us to become truly "One with" God within us, and in this way, becoming as God is, as Spirit and Truth within us.

Not trying to worship God as we have in the past, before the age of Jesus (peace be upon Him), like during the age of the Prophets, from Abraham to David (peace be upon Them), that is, not trying to worship God as we may want God to be, as flesh, so we can maintain our current life as flesh, our current life of "selfishness" in the world that we currently see in our ignorance as existing on the "outside" of us, the life of us living a physical life on the outside of us, with our dearest loving brothers and sisters, and in this way, not trying to worship God by bring God down to a physical form, down to flesh, like a mountain, like the mountains of Jacob, or like a temple, like in Jerusalem, but rather worshipping God by "us" joining with God within us to move up to God within us, to move from flesh to Spirit and Truth".

And the "Time Cometh" meaning that this new requirement for worship was now starting to become the law of God, with the starting of the age of Jesus (peace be upon Him), over 2000 years agon, with Jesus (peace be upon Him) now telling us as part of His teaching, that this old way of worshipping God, of flesh worshipping flesh, is now becoming no longer acceptable to God, because now God wants more from us, because now we are capable of more, now God wants us to give up the flesh, and become Spirit and Truth, as God is, and start to worship Him as that, as Spirit to Spirit, and as Truth to Truth, as "Holy Trinity" to "Holy Trinity", and as "Oneness" to "Oneness".  Amen.

And now, as we progress to the life and teaching of the next and last Prophet of God, to Muhammad (peace and blessing of God be upon Him), over 1400 years ago, and then to the life and teaching of Qutb Muhaiyaddeen Abdul-Qadir al-Jilani (may Godbe pleased with Him), and now in our age, to our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), and of His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us), this requirement for worship will become gradually more and more a requirement for all worship.

When finally, now, with the life and teaching of the Children of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with each of Us), no other form of worship is now acceptable by God, because now all of us can, if we like, give up the flesh and become Spirit and Truth, now each one of us can make this transition from flesh to Spirit and Truth, if we like, because God has given us everything necessary to make this transition in our life, before we die to the flesh, before we physically die to the "outside" of us.  Amen.

3.  What Does It Mean, "God Is A Spirit" - as Jesus (peace be upon Him) tells us (Verse 23), and "they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth", and no longer hold onto the flesh as the vehicle of worship?

"God Is A Spirit", as Jesus (peace be upon Him) tells us in Verse 23, and "they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth", means that starting in the age of Jesus (peace be upon Him), starting as a requirement of worship over 2000 years ago, and now becoming the law of God in our age, we must worship God by first become Spirit, transcending our flesh, and then become Truth, and in this way, no longer holding onto the flesh as the vehicle of our worship of God.

4.  What Does It Mean, "My Meat" - is to do the "will of Him that sent Me", as Jesus (peace be upon Him) tells us (Verse 34), and "to finish His work"

"My Meat" is to do the "will of Him that sent Me", and "to finish His work", that is, to become "One with" God within us, as Jesus (peace be upon Him) tells us in Verse 34, means that our work in our age is not to "work for wages" to get into some illusory heaven on the "outside" of us, but not to join in partnership with God within us, to become "One with" God within us, before we die to the flesh, to allow God within us, as "One with" us within us, to finish what He started within us, a very, very long time ago, which is to reveal God to God within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us?
